A Message from the Ragtag Regarding COVID-19

Friday, March 13 Howdy Friends!  We at Ragtag Cinema care about the health and safety of Columbia and beyond. We are reaching out with important information regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus) and the steps we are taking to ensure the well-being of our staff and our community. We are monitoring the situation and working under the guidance of our local and state public health authorities and the CDC.

Ragtag Cinema is staying open…while taking a few extra precautions.

  • In lieu of our standard opening time, the box office will open 30 minutes before each screening.
  • We will be diligently cleaning the theaters and all high traffic zones-especially handles, surfaces and Point-of-Sale screens. Hand sanitizer will be provided at the Box Office. All employees will be even more conscientious about hand washing, and have been instructed to stay home if they are feeling sick.
  • We are also asking our patrons to take the following precautions as well: Please use the sanitizer that has been made available, in addition to washing hands in our restrooms. Maintaining comfortable distances is encouraged when queuing or choosing seating, and we encourage holding onto your phone when presenting online tickets for scanning.
  • And please, if you feel sick, stay home.

Though we may see some changes to upcoming events, we have no plans to close Ragtag unless ordered to do so by a governmental body. We will announce any changes on our website at ragtagcinema.org as well as through social media and email.

Thank you for supporting your independent, non-profit cinema!~Ragtag
