CAT TV grand reopening

unnamedcat-tv-new-digsOur friends over at CAT TV have moved from the old Ragtag space and they want you to see their new digs.

Columbia Access Television, the community’s voice and the City of Columbia-funded public access television station is hosting a grand opening at 20 A&B North Second Street Columbia, MO 65203, on Thursday, April 20, 2017, from 4 to 8PM.

Suite A, the media center, features six community edit bays. Each bay has an iMac loaded with the Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro X. CAT has hard drives that can be used for in-house editing and a robust internet connection for quick and easy video uploading. Members can reserve and borrow HD video cameras, professional tripods and light kits, and various production accessories via the media center, as well.

Suite B, the HD Studio, will offer an excellent place to record talk shows, music performances, green screen videos and more. Production lights flown in the ceiling grid, cameras and microphones connected to the HD switcher and audio board in the control room, and carefully-installed sound baffling, provide a professional television studio specifically designed for community use.

CAT’s new home is centrally located, includes free parking, has reduced costs to the organization, revitalizes a vintage downtown location and will boost community access to the resources Columbia Access Television offers.
