Do you like producing films? Do you like short deadlines?? If so, you are going to love our 24-Hour Film Competition! On Friday, April 24 at 5:00 pm teams will meet at Columbia Access Television's downtown location to find out the specific criteria that must be in each film.
Criteria will include....
- 1 item
- 1 line of dialogue
- 1 genre
Teams will then have 24 hours to complete a 3 minute short film. The films must be turned in on a DVD by 5:00 pm the very next day, April 25. CAT-TV will hold a public screening on Saturday, April 25, at 6:00 pm at The Bridge. During this public screening, a panel of judges will vote for the winners of "The Critics Choice award".
This year we are adding a "Peoples Choice" award, which means that voting will be extended the following three weeks after the initial screening. Teams are encouraged to gather votes on our website for the opportunity to win prizes. We will be hosting a series of watch parties during this 3 week voting period.
On May 15, all voting will end. We will have one final screening at Talking Horse Productions. At the end of the screening, winners of "The Critics Choice" award and "The People's Choice" award will be announced.
Rules and sign up are available on the CAT-TV website at...http://columbiaaccess.tv/24hourfilm or at the downtown location at 23 North 10th Street in downtown Columbia, Mo.
