About the Series

In collaboration with the Mid-Missouri Black Doula Collective (MMBDC) and the Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH), Ragtag Film Society is facilitating a Birthing Justice screening series across the state of Missouri. Each Birthing Justice screening will be followed by a community conversation moderated by Erica Dickson of MMBDC and guided by local experts. There will also be a collection of resources for birthing people and those interested in joining advocacy efforts in their communities available at the events.

One-night-only screenings will take place at Ragtag Cinema, as well as four partner venues in St. Louis, Kansas City, Miner, and Springfield, MO.

April 24, 6:30 p.m. - Ragtag Cinema, Columbia, MO

May 3, 6:30 p.m. - Gem Theater, Kansas City, MO

May 18, 6:30 p.m. - Miner Convention Center, Miner, MO

May 22, 6:30 p.m. - Moxie Cinema, Springfield, MO

May 25, 6:30 p.m. - Hi-Pointe Theater, St Louis, MO
