When his grade school music teacher Carla (Carol Kane) becomes his adult Bat Mitzvah student, she just might be the one person who can pull him out of his well of problems. Directed by microbudget auteur Nathan Silver and filmed on 16mm, Between the Temples is an unorthodox screwball comedy with heart.
