In World War II London, Rita (Saoirse Ronan) puts her son George (Elliott Heffernan) on an evacuation train to the countryside. Missing his family and facing racist taunting from others because he is Black, George escapes the evacuee train. In this sweeping historical drama from Oscar winning director Steve McQueen, a mother and son, on separate but parallel journeys, try to reunite with one another amidst the chaos of the London blitz.
