Suburban dad Craig (Tim Robinson) is fairly antisocial until he meets his new neighbor, Austin (Paul Rudd), a charming weatherman who hand-rolls cigarettes and plays in a makeshift punk band. Suddenly brought into Austin’s cool and exciting world, Craig’s intense desire to be his best bro threatens to upend both of their lives. The feature directorial debut of Emmy Award nominee Andrew DeYoung, Friendship is a surreal comedy about the joy and pain of genuine interpersonal connections.
