"my favorite part about this is that he saw jaws and said “I would like to make a movie like jaws” and then he made this movie."
–Ayo Edebiri on Letterboxd
"I have seen the film aptly described as 'an episode of Scooby Doo directed by Dario Argento' and that doesn’t even come close to conveying the inventive madness Obayashi throws at the screen."
