Modulations: Cinema for the Ear

Featuring the best of electronic music, Modulations: Cinema for the Ear traces the evolution of this genre in the 20th century across the globe. Director iara lee brings together intimate interviews, stunning visuals, in-studio footage, and live performances to craft a compelling portrait of a moment in history where humans and machines have fused to expand the boundaries of music.

As we gear up for the Mizzou International Composers Festival — featuring electronic artists Jlin, RP Boo, and Maxubishi — join us for a free screening of the electronica documentary Modulations, followed by a panel discussion about the film and its connections to MICF with MICF Artistic Director Stefan Freund, MICF Associate Director Tiffany Skidmore, and Dismal Niche President Matthew Crook, moderated by Ragtag Film Society Executive Director and former MICF Managing Director Andrea Luque Káram.

Please note that FREE tickets for the public will be available at the Ragtag Box Office day-of show.

No more than two free tickets will be given to one person.

A free ticket guarantees you a seat until 10 minutes before showtime and not after. If all tickets have been distributed and there are open seats at 10 till, we will start seating the theater from the waiting list (queue).
