Theatre director Jeanine (Amanda Seyfried) returns to her origins in the world of opera when she is selected to remount her mentor’s most celebrated production, the opera “Salome.” Jeanine finds herself balancing the trauma of her past with the arduous demands of staging a contemporary take on “Salome.” A reunion between actor Amanda Seyfried and director Atom Egoyan, Seven Veils fuses the elements of opera and film to explore the relationship between controversial art, storytelling, and power.
