Silent Movie Day: The Freshman

Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025, The Freshman follows the exploits of nerdy college student Harold Lamb (Harold Lloyd) and his attempts to become popular. Whether on the football field or at the Fall Frolic, Harold does his best to succeed despite his plans consistently going awry. Directed by Fred Newmeyer and Sam Taylor but creatively controlled by star Harold Lloyd, this box office hit cemented Lloyd's status as the funny everyman of American cinema. The Freshman screens as part of Silent Movie Day, an annual day dedicated to celebrating and preserving silent movies.
