One of the great cult figures of 20th century American music for his contributions to soul music, hip-hop, country, and more, the life and artistry of Swamp Dogg is laid bare in this unconventional music documentary. A mix of archival footage, animation, jam sessions, and pool painting, Swamp Dogg Gets His Pool Painted follows the titular Swamp Dogg and his “bachelor pad of aging musicians.” Presented with Dismal Niche as part of Extended Play II, this screening will be followed by a Q&A with Swamp Dogg.
