The China Syndrome

While reporting on alternative energy resources, reporter Kimberly Wells (Jane Fonda) and her cameraman Richard Adams (Michael Douglas) accidentally witness an emergency core shutdown procedure at a nuclear power plant in California. When Kimberly attempts to publicize the incident, she and her colleagues find themselves entangled in a dangerous plot to hide the safety hazards at the plant. Although it faced backlash from the nuclear power industry, The China Syndrome became a critical and commercial success whose subject matter turned prescient when soon after its release a nuclear accident occurred in Pennsylvania. This free screening, presented by Renew Missouri, will be introduced by John Coffman of the Consumer Council of Missouri.

Please note that FREE tickets for the public will be available at the Ragtag Box Office starting Wednesday, September 2 at 12PM. 

No more than two free tickets will be given to one person.

A free ticket guarantees you a seat until 10 minutes before showtime and not after. If all tickets have been distributed and there are open seats at 10 till, we will start seating the theater from the waiting list (queue). Ticket holders will continue to be admitted at this time if seats are available. This policy allows us to start on time and give the audience a distraction-free experience.
