The Last Class

Primarily known for his public service as Secretary of Labor during the Clinton Administration, Robert Reich has always considered teaching his true calling. After over 40 years and an astonishing 40,000 students, Reich prepares for his last semester in his teaching career in this deeply personal documentary portrait of an educator distilling their wisdom for the last time. In the largest lecture hall at the UC Berkeley campus, one thousand students are witness to Reich’s final lecture in his “Wealth and Poverty” course.

This screening will be followed by a panel discussion with faculty from The MU Kinder Institute on Constitutional Democracy.
