An Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Language film, Son of Saul is a harrowing, immersive film set during the Holocaust. Hungarian Jew Saul Ausländer (Géza Röhrig) belongs to Sonderkommando, a group forced to assist the Nazis as they guide fellow Auschwitz-Birkenau prisoners into the gas chambers and then recover their ashes. One day while working in the crematorium, Saul is shaken by the discovery of one young boy's corpse. He decides he must find a way to give the boy a proper burial.
