The Consulate General of Canada in Chicago and the Canadian Studies Center at the University of Missouri-Columbia present a free live theatre on-screen event in recognition of Canada Days at the University of Missouri.

A ghostly visitor with a shocking secret, a daughter devastated by loss, a deadly duel and the most famous question in all of drama: Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy will hold you spellbound. Hamlet has been called the greatest play in the English language and this production from the world-renowned Stratford Festival “the most complete, most fulfilling, most satisfying in decades of theatregoing.” Jonathan Goad is witty and courageous in the title role, but also deeply human. The film excites and surprises at every turn, with a cast of some of the finest classical actors in the world bringing to life the most intense and heart-breaking relationships the stage has ever seen.

Tickets are required for entry and will be available only at the Ragtag Cinema box office beginning at NOON on the date of this event. Limited to 4 per person.

A free ticket guarantees you a seat until 10 minutes before showtime, but not after. If all tickets have been distributed and there are open seats at 10 till, we will start seating the theater from the waiting list (queue). Ticket holders will continue to be admitted at this time if seats are available. This policy allows us to start on time and give the audience a distraction-free experience.
