Harriet + discussion reprise

Our Harriet post-film discussion was so popular, we decided to bring it back! After the Wednesday, November 20, 7pm screening of Harriet, join Ragtag and The Carter Center for K-12 Black History Education for a panel discussion led by The Carter Center Associate Director and University of Missouri Professor Dr. Ashley Woodson, with Joel Stancer, Retention Coordinator, College of Education; Melissa Galloway, West Boulevard Elementary School Principal; and Eryca Neville, Douglass High School Principal. Doors at 6:30pm. Film at 7pm.

Based on the thrilling and inspirational life of an iconic American freedom fighter, Harriet tells the extraordinary tale of Harriet Tubman's escape from slavery and transformation into one of America's greatest heroes. Her courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history.

"An impassioned, edifying portrait of a remarkable life, and a fitting showcase for the considerable talents of its star, Tony-winning British actress Cynthia Erivo." (Leah Greenblatt, Entertainment Weekly)
