Overview: Do you have a background in business services, administration, bookkeeping, and/or human resources and enjoy supporting all facets of a dynamic nonprofit? The ideal candidate will have the following skills and traits:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in business/nonprofit administration and/or accounting/finance;
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks;
  • Broad knowledge of accounting principles;
  • Strong aptitude for math;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Confidence and discretion in working with finances and other sensitive information; 
  • Computer savvy, including GSuite platforms, Zoom, Slack, and Airtable, and confidence with other database use.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Bookkeeping: Execute regular (daily/weekly) bookkeeping for the organization, Review, prepare, and adjust quarterly and other requested reports, with organizational leadership team assistance where needed, Administer financial and procurement processes for all of RFS, including, organizational invoice and payment processing, Assist leadership team with budget preparation, audit, and tax functions.
  • Human Resources: Assist in management of contracts and external agreements, Payroll management, including coordinating, tracking, and reporting employee vacations, Manage and administer new hire paperwork, including health insurance, Identify the company’s hiring needs and manage the recruitment process, Work with leadership team to create, implement, and evaluate all human resource department policies, procedures, and structures;
  • Develop and implement processes for areas of oversight where needed; maintain and/or adjust processes where needed.

Commitment & Compensation: This is a full-time position with benefits. Must reside in Boone County. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and in the range of $36,000-$40,000 annually.
