We've surpassed our $80,000 goal on Kickstarter, and with 5 days to go. It's time to go digital! This is an amazing day for Ragtag, everyone at Hittsville (Uprise Bakery, 9th Street Video, Hitt Records), downtown Columbia, local arts, and independent cinema. Thank you for making Columbia a great place to live and watch movies!
A gigantic thank you! to everyone who made a donation on Kickstarter, mailed in a check, or dropped off a dollar at the box office. We couldn't've done this with out you. Thank you!
If you were planning on making a donation and still haven't, it's not too late. $80,000 is the minimum we need to convert the theaters. With extra money we can purchase backup bulbs (which are about a grand apiece) and set aside funds for emergency repairs.
Ragtag needs one digital projector, two playback servers and two audio processors to be able to show you the movies you love. Our current 35mm projection system will be obsolete next year when studios abandon 35mm film for new releases. We need your help to raise $80,000 by November 10. Small theaters everywhere are facing this same challenge. Don't let your community cinema fade away.
If you haven't made a pledge yet, head over to our Donation Page and check out the cool prizes. You can give as little as $1. Every dollar counts. If we don't reach $80,000, we get zero dollars from the donation website Kickstarter. And remember: Ragtag is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so all your donations are tax deductible.
If you'd rather not donate through Kickstarter (we know, another password to remember), you can donate the regular way. We'll gladly accept your check, credit card, money order, gold, rubies, well-trained children---whatever you'd like to give us, really.
Thanks again for your support!
