Ragtag at Home

Ragtag Film Society is excited to share this resource for engaging movie lovers of all ages in media literacy. Ragtag at Home is a collection of free materials that pair films with ready-made curriculum developed by our Community Partnerships and Education Team.

Watch films for free through Kanopy, an online film collection accessible for Daniel Boone Regional Library cardholders, and follow our activity guides for a greater understanding of the film's meaning.

Ragtag at Home films include (these links will take you to the google drive):

Eighth Grade

Eleanor's Secret

Faces Places

The Fits

Hunt for the Wilderpeople

I Am Not Your Negro

Lady Bird

Let the Fire Burn

Mia and the Migoo

Miss Juneteenth

Miss Minoes

Patema Inverted

The Secret of Kells

Whose Streets

Watch our trailer playlist.

More films are added periodically and include selections and curriculum for older children and teens.

What is Kanopy? Kanopy is film-streaming service that is free with a Columbia Public Library card (don't worry, you can get a temporary plague-time library card online). Kanopy has an awesome selection of documentary, arthouse and foreign films—including a wide variety of fun stuff for your kiddos.
