Special Events at Ragtag

Bards, Birds, Birth! Ragtag is known for our quality movies and also our special events involving the vibrant Columbia, Missouri community. So much to see, discuss, and get involved in!

• In anticipation of Mizzou’s Afro-Cuban Artists: A Renaissance (April 27-30), we know we will get you inspired by the art and dance of Cuba in Afro-Cuban Artist Portraits
• We'll pair with Greenhouse Theater Project to show Shakespeare's Macbeth (the film starring Ragtag faves Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard)
• For Jazz History Month, we link with  "We Always Swing" Jazz Series to show Miles Ahead, the story of the pioneering jazz trumpeter Miles Davis (written, directed, and starring Don Cheadle!). Register to win a Miles Davis LP at Hitt Records.
• We'll join the Columbia Audubon Society  in bringing you The Messenger, an eye-opening documentary about the imperiled songbird; and come May
• We'll glady accept the assistance of the Columbia Area Midwives to screen and discuss Why not Home?  a celebration of home birth
