This summer and fall have been a whirlwind of innovation, improvisation, and celebration as our staff have thrown their hearts into taking Ragtag outside. In that time, we’ve had a birthday party drive-in, built a mobile cinema from the ground up, and hosted over 15 shows all across Columbia, from the lawn at Logboat, to the amphitheater at Stephens Lake Park, to the steps of the Boone County Courthouse, and beyond. We’ve been able to premier new releases and spotlight classics, and even share the restoration of a once-lost film of Sandra Hochman’s, Year of the Woman, alongside the Murray Center for Documentary Journalism. It’s been an endeavor, and your overwhelming support has kept us buzzing.
As we head into colder months, we realize the only course of action is to work even harder—so first, we’re giving our staff a well-earned break to regroup and retool. Ragtag Cinema will be closed from Tuesday, Nov. 3 - Thursday, Nov. 12. We'll reopen on Friday, Nov. 13 with two anticipated new releases: Francis Lee’s, Ammonite with Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan, and Tomm Moore’s new animated masterpiece, Wolfwalkers.
We WILL still have rentals available while the cinema is closed, so fill out that rental request and come enjoy your favorite nice, private, & cozy cinema!
When we get back, we'll also be offering a few more drive-in evenings, so keep an eye out for those, starting with Wolfwalkers at Columbia Honda!
