Here's a random assortment of advice about the fest:
- True/False has added a bonus screening of Missouri-made Rich Hill to Sunday's lineup at the Willy Wilson Theater (Little Ragtag). 3pm. Tickets will be available at the TF box office Thursday at noon. There are only 70 of 'em. Q space for this show is extremely limited. We advise Qing for one of the other three screenings in larger venues.
- You know parking's going to be terrible. Make sure to give yourself some extra time to find a spot and carpool if you can. If might be a good time to try the bus.
- The final screenings in Big & Little Ragtag are the same films on Saturday and Sunday. There will be one Q line for both films. If you plan on Qing for the second screening of either film, get here an hour and 15 minutes before, if you can.
- It's gonna be cold. Q lines are generally all outside, so dress accordingly. And please don't put your coat on an empty seat until like 10 minutes into the film...it makes it hard for us to count available seats.
- No pass? No money? A lot of time? There are tons of cool free things at the fest. All the Neither/Nor screenings are free (thank the Academy!) from the Q. TF panels are always cool and free and open to the public. There are a couple of free events you should check out, too, like the Art Ramble. You can also watch the parade on Friday, and then just walk around and see the art installations. Watch some Les Blank films at The Great Wall.
- Uprise Bakery (on Hitt Street) will have special grab-n-go sandwiches for sale. And their soups make good to-go meals, too. Their hours are extended for the fest.
- The True/False box office number is 573.442.8783 (true). Lose your pass, have any questions about the nuances of Qing, ask 'em...after you've read our how-to, of course. Ragtag's phone won't always be monitored during the fest, fyi. It gets crazy around here.
- If you're any sort of Missouri student (well, high school to grad school), you can see Particle Fever for free on Friday at 11am at the Missouri Theatre. Doors at 10. Bring your student ID. Learn more.
- Still wanna do the fun-run on Saturday morning? You can sign up on the website till 10 on Friday night. Then walk-ups are welcome at Flat Branch Park in the morning.
- You can still buy TF merch at the TF box office on Monday from 10 to 7. There are some limited items this year, so don't hesitate. We've heard tell of True/False flasks...
- Hug a volunteer. They like to know that you care.
