Reel Visions

Reel Visions celebrates works by filmmakers of color. Select screenings are accompanied by a mid-Missouri artist of color to place different artistic modes in conversation with another and support the careers of local artists. This series aims to build an inclusive filmgoing community at Ragtag Cinema.

Ragtag Cinema is looking for artists of color to accompany select screenings of Reel Visions. Performances will be about 20 minutes, and we can offer $100 as compensation for your time. Ragtag can accommodate bands of up to four people, but please, no drum sets.

Applications for October performances will be accepted through Sept. 4, but for later dates, applications will be accepted through Dec. 11.

Requirements for application:

• Must identify as a person of color
• Must live in Mid-Missouri
• Must have 15-20 minutes worth of performance material

Dates we are seeking performances:

• October 2026
• February 2027
• June 2027
