Adapted from the 1963 novel of the same name, The Man Who Fell to Earth follows the alien Thomas Jerome Newton (David Bowie) who lands on Earth while on a mission to bring water to his drought-stricken home planet; instead, he finds himself captive to the darkness and corruption of humans. Renowned for being the acting debut of Bowie as well as one of the finest films from British Director Nicolas Roeg, this film has endured as a cult classic for 50 years because of its novel fusion of science fiction and surrealism.
